In Curslack fand heute ein internationales Freundschaftsspiel zwischen Marvin Schalitz' Schalle & Friends und den Old Shirburnians / Sherborne Pilgrims aus England mit Johann Kirsten statt.

Das faire und umkämpfte Spiel entschied sich erst nach etwa 70 Minuten, als die Gastgeber ihre Konzentration verloren und die Gäste innerhalb von 15 Minuten 5 Tore – 2 davon aus dem Abseits – schießen konnten. Zuvor stand es nach einem frühen Treffer der Shirburnians in der ersten Hälfte und einem Ausgleich in der 55. Minute 1:1.

Am Ende herrschte aber vor allem eine freundliche, ausgelassene Stimmung und so war das Ergebnis für den Torwart der Gastgeber auch "gar nicht so schlecht", dafür dass er seit etwa 5 Jahren nicht mehr im Tor gestanden habe.

Die Engländer nutzten das Spiel auch als Vorbereitung für die Saison, die für sie in einer Woche beginnt.

Marvin Schalitz' team "Schalle and Friends" and the Old Shirburnians / Sherborne Pilgrims from England played an international friendly football match today in Curslack, Hamburg, Germany.

It was a fair still competitive game which was decided after about 70 minutes, when the hosts lost their concentration and allowed the Shirburnians to score 3 goals. Before that it was 1:1 in the game after an early score of the Old Shirburnians in the first half and an equalizing goal in the 55th minute.

In the end, however, there was a friendly, exuberant atmosphere and so the result was "not so bad" even for the goalkeeper of the hosts, considering that he had not been in the goal for about 5 years. The English team also used the game as preparation for their season, which starts for them in a week.
